International Poma Upgrade

The International Poma at Falls Creek in Victoria is a 1,219 metre long Poma lift that was constructed over the 1968-69 summer and was opened to the public in 1970. The International name was derived because it serviced the area where a F.I.S. international race was held in 1960. The 50-year-old International-Poma still remains the longest cornered Poma in the Southern Hemisphere.

In partnership with SnowEng Australia, AS Services were contracted to replace Work Platforms and Supports on the International. Work commenced in the new year and completed prior to the opening of the 2021 ski season.
